Last week, I promised to you all to share couple photos of my latest craft project-
handmade wire jewelry.

There is something unique about wire or wire work jewelry. You cannot make exactly the same two handmade wire jewelry item. There is always a different between the two. I also love the techniques and colors of gemstones/ beads.

Here are my latest collections.

This is a vintage charm bracelet.

Octopus Lantern

Wow! I took two weeks to update this blog. Saya agak sibuk sikit dengan wirework jewelry. I'll post several of my handcrafted wirework jewelry somewhere next week. wait ya! Ok, for today, I just want to share a simple octopus lantern.

Materials:
color paper
marker pen/magic pen
tiny bits of colorful paper for decoration.
ribbon

It is so simple, no need step by step tutorial ek. Tengok jer dah buleh buat. :)

A Little Touch

I love stamps...Everytime I go to craft/stationary shops, I always, always look for their stamps collection. Last week I bought two boxes of little stamps at Popular Book Store. Each box comes with their own little four colors ink pad. Now lets have a look, what my kids did with our new stamp collection.

Price of each box of stamp is RM11.90

We found this at IKEA.

Finally guys, I've been thinking about to put Prince and Print's FB page on this blog months ago. Actually, I tried couple of times, but just did not work out. Something wrong somewhere. I was confused with the code and maybe I did not put the code correctly. But, today a miracle happened, yeay!!!!! See this....

I know many of you visit my blog regularly, but never put any comment. It is ok. And I do appreciate all of you who visit here. *hug* .... I am still in the mood of a long holiday. Today, I am back to the office, but my office and other departments seem so quiet.. I bet many of the staffs and the bosses (aha!) still on holiday. I want to wish Happy Eid Mubarak to all Moslem readers. And also Happy Merdeka day to all Malaysians. Double celebrations and double hapiness to all of us. And for me and others (kinda a crime to mention the names other than my sister, huhhuu) who happend to get 'double weight' during this double celebrations. Thanks to all 'rendang', 'ketupat', and 'masak lodeh'!

Ok, enough for my short 'celoteh' of my long holiday... Now I want to share a frame make-over I did yesterday for my cousin; Azrie who will jet off to India next week to further her study . Yeayyy!!! another doctor in our big family.

My Paperweights : Quilling On Rocks

There are many reasons, why I love quilling so much. Reason number one; it is an affordable craft because all you need are papers and glue. The quilling tool is optional. You still can do quilling by using your fingers like my friend Asma. Or maybe you can use toothpick. And the best reason is quilling allows you to explore your own creativity. There is no right or no wrong. My previous quilling projects were greeting cards and frames. Now, armed with my glue hot gun and a collection of pretty colorful rocks, I made paperweights!!

My Rock Craft

I woke up early for my 'sahur' this morning. Since I still cannot sleep after 'sahur', I thought why not doing someting creative. Just to blist out my day....So, I grabbed a rock for my quick craft. At first, my intention was just to color a rock. After I finished with a rock, I still cannot sleep. Then I continued with the second rock, then third rock.. and so on... hehhee....

I have in mind what to do with these rocks. As I look at this pic, they look pretty and now I am hanker after more rocks.... and there is a something special about this particular light blue rock....

My First Guestbook

Happy weekend!

It has been a week I did not update my blog. A little bussy with my work. This entry specially dedicated to my 3rd boy; Iman. We had a blast on Iman 1st birthday party on last Saturday. We had our party at KFC, Jaya Jusco, AU2. What you can ask more when you are surrounded by your loving family and caring friends. Love you guys...

Since Iman is too small to remember on his 1st birthday, I did a special guestbook book for him. With magic colors provided, the guest especially kids showed their creativity by drawing and writing notes for Iman.

I decorated the book cover by colorfull quilled gifts. I put Iman's photo at the center. I used stamp for Iman's name since my handwriting is not nice.

I totally can't wait to post this card. It's super cute! hehhe My friend asks me to create a friendship card. Since I am a little obsessed with wiggle eyes, I come out with this design.

Little note: What is plural of fish? Plural of fish is fish or fishes. Plural form fish means a group of the fish of the same species while fishes refering to many individual species in the same group.

Go Nature

Every Saturday is our craft day. I've been thinking to do leaf water color stamp bookmarks with my kids for the past few days. Normally we do our craft at home. But today, we did at a hut beside kid's play ground nearby. My kids' faces glowing with smile when I told them about the idea. They happily carry all the craft stuff to the hut. The best thing about this idea is that you don't have to worry if the kids spill the water colors on the table or the floor.

Firstly, what you need:

Water color
Drawing block/thick paper
Glue
Card stock
Ribbons

I explained to them how to do 'leaf water color stamp' and asked them to look for different type of leaf because each of them will create different effects/patterns.

masterpiece!!! (This also can be use also as a wrapping paper)

Cut the card stocks according to the size of pattern. Using glue, paste them together and add ribbons.

(Moms have to help this if the kids are below that 5 yrs old)

Tada!!!! An easy fun project for your kids.

You Mean The World To Me

My friend requested me to do a card for her hubby. Actually, she has been asking me to do this for a quite long ago. If I can recall somewhere early this year. I'm awfully sorry dear.... She is ok with it since she is fully aware with my situation. For my followers and friends, I would like to share a bits of me... and why I'm taking so long to design her card.

I took care of my MIL since mid last year when she was diagnosed with cancer. Moving up and down with a baby in my belly from Bangi and Kuala Lumpur, form work and staying with her was a challenge. But when she passes away early this year, I had no regret at all. We love her so much and we truly miss her everyday especially my 12 year old sister in law. Life goes on. Then, another news came which that time I felt like a bullet pressing through my chest. My baby was diagnosed with williams syndrome when he was 6 months old. Me and hubby are struggling with the news and trying to do the best for him. Not many doctors are aware about williams syndrome. There are Williams Syndrome Association in US and Williams Syndrome Foundation in UK. But NONE in Malaysia like many other countries. Iman gonna be 1 year old at end of this month and I am very proud him everyday (Iman sayang, you mean the world to me). Now me and hubby are getting better in handling his condition and I manage to alocate time for crafting and card making.

Ok, enough with my story this time. Now, I wanna share with you guys a card that i did a little similar with 'Love is in the air'. She personnally asking me to do the same design. I changed the position of the tree and I added couple of cherries.

No craft activity this weekend

I love to spend my weekend with my boys by doing kids' craft activities. Usually we spend an hour or two to finish any particular craft. But since this weekend, we are going back to my hometown to visit my parents. we are not able to do any craft activity this weekend. I am not sad and of course I happy to see my parents, but I'm feeling something missing. hehehhe... But my hubby, in contrary, he is extremely happy and excited about this weekend because he with my dad and my brother gonna go for fishing. Yup, they are hardcore 'kaki pancing'.

So while Amirul and Arman watching their favorite TV programs and Iman is sleeping peacefully beside me, I searching and browsing for others cute handmade crafts that I would love to try and explore. Yup, finally I found one. Happy and excited. :) Keeping this to myself and definitely and I am promise to you that I will post it. Just wait, k.

Yes, no craft activity this weekend, but still can't stop thingking about crafting in my mind. Happy weekends to all!

I'm not good in making quilled flowers. I tried to do the spiral quilled roses yesterday. I was so frustrated with the result. Something was not right somewhere.

Lady Bug

I promised Amirul last night to do our rock painting today. He was so excited and keep asking me since early in the morning 'ibu, bila nak buat?' so many time. We finally started our craft project, after lunch. I let them chose the rocks.

The lady bugs are supposed to look like this......

Materials needed for making this lady bug are smooth round/oval rock, red and black acrylic paint, wiggle eyes, black marker and white craft glue.

Draw by using pencil. Never use marker because the line

still can be seen after we paint the rock.

Arman coloring his rock

Amirul in action. Paint the lady bug's body with red and black for the head. Let the paint dry and glue the wiggle eyes. Since the rocks are small, my kids painted the rocks for 15 minutes. (Arman took only 5 minutes!!) hehehehe

Amirul was a bit disappointed because we did not have black marker to do the dots. He used black acrylic with brush. He said 'tu la abang punya lady bug comot'.

Arman was happy with his lady bug ;)

I am SO excited with my new project. I bought these last week.

And also these rocks yesterday.

All rocks must be cleaned first by using soap and water.

And let them dry and they are ready for crafting. I can almost hear them say 'pick me! pick me!'...Can't wait to do rock craft with my kids!! yeayy!!! Lompat bintang sambil sengeh-sengeh.

Retro Frame

Sometime old things bring back sweet memory,
Sometime old things with a little new twist, can be tres chic.
This is my 1st try to do a retro dsign on a frame.
At 1st, i thought 'well it gonna be fast, coz it is simple design'.
No need to do different type of paper quilling.
All I have to do is to arrange the various colorful circles.
huhhuuu...

well, actually, this retro looks simple but to do this, it needs more colofull papers. It needs more and more time compares to other make over frames before.
........ nevertheless, I'm happy with the result.

Red and Black Bird Frame

My love for quilling started when I came across Lin, Asma and Miyyah's blogs last year. They are truly Malaysian quillers and their works inspire me. Miyyah conducted a quilling-get-together twice so far. They teach crafters the art of quilling for free. Later, more and more people/crafters involve with quillings in Malaysia. Mizam is one of them. I follow their blogs and FBs closely to catch up with their latest designs. Each one of them are special quiller and they have their own style and designs.

I'm still new and of course I'm condiser myself as a beginner. I'm still looking for my own style. But one thing for sure, I know that I LOVE quilling birds.

I will definitely do more and more birds in the future!

Cardboard Dino!

I love dino. the cute face shape kind of dino. My boys love all type dinosours. Especially T-rex. That was how we came out with our blog header's design. That cute dino, we call it 'Prince' is designed by Emila Yusof. Thanks Emila!!!

Since my kids gila cintakan dinosours, I come out with this idea of coloring cardboard dino. I know they gonna love it. This is step-by-step a cardboard dino. My first tutorial. Yeayyy!

Draw any shape of dinosours that you know. Any shape it's ok as long as it looks like a dinosour.

Cut it.

You also have to draw and cut the 'U' shape dino's legs.

They can stand alone when you attach the two parts: body and leg.

The fun part!! see Amirul colors his dino carefully and nicely

I encourage them to pick their own colors.

Arman shows his talent by coloring his dino with 'mix and match colors'.

Glue the wiggle eyes. Try to get a bigger wiggle eyes if your dino is bigger than this
